Ancient Heart is the debut studio album by British singer-songwriter Tanita Tikaram, released by WEA on 12 September 1988. Produced by Rod Argent and Peter Van Hooke, it combines folk and pop. Four singles were released from the album: "Good Tradition", "Twist in My Sobriety", "Cathedral Song" and "World Outside Your Window". Tikaram wrote the songs as a teenager before signing with WEA in 1988. Recorded at Red House Studio in Silsoe, England, the album's arrangements were developed around her vocal and guitar performances.
