Kerplunk (stylized as Kerplunk!) is the second studio album by the American rock band Green Day. It was released on December 17, 1991 in the United Kingdom, and formally released in the United States on January 17, 1992, by Lookout! Records. It is the band's first album to feature drummer Tré Cool, replacing original drummer John Kiffmeyer, who left the band to attend college following a US tour promoting their debut studio album 39/Smooth (1990).
